It’s a sad reality but there are so many scammers in this world and their victims are mostly those who are not very familiar with how they operate. One of these is investment scam where the perpetrator offers the victim an investment that will return huge profit. The scammer often manipulate the emotion of their victims and make them think that it is a once in a lifetime chance of making money for a quick period of time.

If a person does not have familiarity and knowledge about the business or investment being offered and just making decision based on emotion or influence of other people then they can easily be victimized by the scammer. Scammers will use that person emotion to get them excited or fear missing out on a “great opportunity” to reel them in.

There are several investment scams but they operate on the same goal and that is to convince you to give them your money in exchange of a promised high return. Usually, they will show you some returns in paper or in some website they created to lure you into believing that you are really making a good profit from your investment. Eventually they will run away and disappear with the money you gave them.

During the early stage of the scam when they are reporting that you are making money from your investment, they will also use you to convince other potential victims such as your friends and relatives to also invest their money. A lot of families and relationship were destroyed because the first victim convinced the other victims to join the investment. When the scammer ran away, those who lost their money blame the person who convinced them to join the investment which turned out to be a scam.

Making money and becoming rich is a long process and anyone who comes to you offering some investment that will make you rich quicker is most likely a scammer or an unknowing victim. Reward is directly proportional to risk and loss. If the reward is high and quick then the chance of a loss is also deep and quick. If someone is offering me anything that’s promising more than what I can get from my own high risk investments then I don’t even entertain it. I have a strategy that I followed to become a millionaire and it’s a long term process. I didn’t mind it taking me many years since I set up that goal and enjoyed the journey along the way.
